The Work History
|
For my friends and former co-workers (or both) from the
CAD Systems Engineering
Group at Digital Equipment Corporation, I've set
aside some space for stuff that I've collected over the years.
Yeah, I can't believe I kept this stuff too. The collection is
still in the works but just wait.
By the way, I
started at DEC on June 4, 1984 and left on Friday, December 11, 1992.
There is also a group for
former employees of Digital. |
|
...but that isn't the only place where I worked. I used to work for
the PowerFrame
group at DEC in the former MRO4 building. I believe they
used to be EDA Systems before DEC bought/bailed them out. The group
was based in California. I've always thought that it was pretty
amusing that DEC laid me off on Pearl Harbor Day, December 7,
1992. If you ever get a chance to check out the Dilbert (tm) daily
comic strip
for that day, you'd swear that Scott Adams was either
psychic or he worked for DEC.
FYI: Digital was bought by Compaq Computers and Compaq itself has since
been assimulated by Hewlett-Packard. |

I worked for Aspect Development in their Framingham sales
office from February 9, 1993 to May 2, 1997 (started in a one-office
suite in Waltham). They went through a merger with I2 Technologies in June, 2000.
I keep track of various
Aspect alumnae. |
|
At this point in time, I'm working for
Sandpiper Software, Inc.
which is currently based in Los Gatos, California. It's another startup
(and I said that I wouldn't do that again!). I started there on May 19, 1997. |
